Up we GO!

The last two weekends have been so much fun. Lots of things happening! First of all, for all of you who don't know, a while ago Conner and I found out that we are going to be expecting a baby around December 12. The first trimester hasn't been the easiest one, lots of scares and stuff. But now it seems like everything has slowed down a little and we are just starting the second trimester and we have high hopes that everything will turn out alright. I'll try better to write more often to give updates on the pregnancy.

Last weekend we went with my family to Little Mill just up in American Fork. It was quite the adventure, right when we got there we went to the lake and put our kayaks down in the water. But then it started raining like crazy! My mom made these ponchos out of plastic sheets that she had brought to cover the food. It was fun; everybody was leaving but we stayed and had a good time.

Then this weekend was Linda's B-day. We had such a great time, we all went to Chuck-a-rama and enjoyed the evening together. After that we went to the Parry's and tasted the yummy lemon cup cakes that Arica and the girls made, they were really so good.

Then yesterday Linda, G Beth, Arica, Elle and Scout were going to see Up, so when Arica mentioned it at dinner time, we kind of invited ourselves. I'm glad we did, it was such a cute movie. We also loved spending some more time with the family. Conner and I found a cute new place right by where Libby and Josh live, and we had been moving stuff with my family in the morning, so we needed a little break. Here is a picture from the movie! Yes, I agree, it would have been even better if we had been standing in front of the actual movie poster, and not woverine's, but oh well...

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!

When we realized that President's day was right after Valentine's weekend, Conner and I decided to go on a little get away. Plus, Con didn't have to work this weekend, which always helps. At first we were gonna go camping, but after looking a little closer at the 10 day weather thing, we decided that there wasn't going to be anywhere close by where we could go camping w/o freezing to death. We finally decided to go to Bryce Canyon. We think that place is sooo pretty and we had never seen it in the winter time, so we were excited. To our lovely surprise, this weekend was Bryce Canyon's Winter Festival, and all the activities were around Ruby's Inn, where we were staying. It was so much fun! we started the day by doing cross country skiing, and found out the hard way that it was a lot more difficult than the people around there made it seem. We still had a blast though.

The whole point of learning how to cross country ski was that on Sunday there were doing a biathlon. So you had to cross country ski, and then stop and shoot your bow a few times, and then go back to ski and stop and shoot again. I think you kept doing this like 4 or 5 times. We didn't do the biathlon, but it was fun to go do the free clinics they had for archery. We had so much fun, especially Conner, because he SMOKED everyone else. We do have to admit though... cross country skiing kicked our butts, and we could hardly move normal the rest of the weekend.

After our hard day of exercising, we went to Ruby's restaurant place and had delicious ribs (I was happy that mine were already without the bones, so I could eat with my fork and not make a mess). After dinner we decided to get this delicious Bronco Brownie... so very very very yummy. We were gonna go to the pool and then to a dance after, but between our soreness from the hard work and our very full bellies, we decided to just go back to the room and put a movie in. I was so glad we got to share this weekend together. And I hope every one else had a very happy valentine's day!

It's been so long... How embarrasing

As many of you know, after four very long years, I got to not only go back to my home country, but take my sweetheart along. It was such a last minute trip, and a huge blessing. I had been literally dreaming about this trip since Con and I got married. It was such a blast. In this picture we're in a little lake in Madrid called El Retiro. It was so much fun to enjoy the sunset in this beautiful place. Conner didn't think so, since he was the one that had to row, hahahaha. It was just fun to remember old times when my parents used to take us there to feed the ducks.
In this next picture, we're in Toledo. I think my favorite part about this city were the swords, of course, and also all the Arabic doors all over the city. It was the very first city we visited in Spain. I have a lot of pictures, but I thought it wouldn't get so boring if I only posted a couple of them.

The Madrid Temple!!! What a beautiful place, I love it so much. I was there for the open doors back in 98, but I had never been on a session, so it was really nice to go and enjoy in the Temple with Conner... There was only one fall back, the temple in Spain is shared between people from Spain, France and Portugal, and the session we attended was in Portuguese, so we didn't get half the stuff, but it was still really fun.

I will really try to post more often. It's going to be one of my New Year resolutions. I hope you all had a great Christmas, I will try and post some of those pictures as well.

Grandma Beth's B-day

Well, here's our first post! I went to Arica's last night and she very patiently showed me how to do a blog with all the little secrets (I still have a lot to learn). Conner and I were so excited to start our blog, so we took our camera to grandma Beth's B-day. We had a very fun dinner at the Wild West Show! We all had a great time. I think we would all agree that the highlight of the night was Doug doing the Can Can! Nobody could stop laughing. It was a blast. HAPPY B-DAY GRANDMA BETH!
